but do I have a chance with 15inqs on experian? I have none on eq and none on TU but I believe they wqill probably pull exp, with my luck. I want a no pre set spending limit card, and my amexs are now with my socks. Do I have a chance or do I wait a while?
15 inq's is alot. I know that Bank1 pulls TU or EQ, probably both I'd wait a little while until the inq's come down to <8 in the last 6 months. I'm hoping Mirage will chime in here since he recently applied for the United mileage plus card.
Sorry, I meant EXP (experian). That is what happened to me, they pulled TU first, then one week later EXP. What card are you going for and where the heck is Mirage? I am anxious to know if he got approved.
Still waiting for yea or nay. Don't know what the hold up is with Bank One. If you want to wait I should be a getting an answer sometime next week. Also out of drunken stupidness I applied for a preapproval Citi AA last night. Bad mistake as I bk on them. At any rate Citi pulled TU and I got the will notify you message. Best regards, Mirage
HI, Mirage! Been following your apps lately..congrats on so much success. How long ago was your BK with Citi?
Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> Hey there, I bk-13 on three Citibank accounts. 1- Business cc 2- Peronal cc 3- Personal LOC I filed bk-13 in 1996 and it dropped off this past October. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> Thanks, Mirage!! They were in my BK13 in 96 so very interested to see what happens with you on this one! Wishing you the best!
Re: Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> NanaC, same to you!! I will post the results as soon as I hear anything. Btw, Citibank pulled TU on me. My TU file is a huge mess in terms of inquires. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> TU is my best..that would be a good thing..but of course, the blacklist possibilities are looming overhead. Ok..will watch for your results..I think it's good you didn't get an immediate denial..some hope, possibly?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> Just got up (long day yestersay ) and called Bank One. Yup, approved for the Mileage Plus Visa Signature card! 5K limit. The rep told me that the approval was in the system this morning. I'm not sure if Bank One has a blacklist as my problems occured with my bank before it merged with Bank One. Also I am a current checking and savings account customer with Bank One. This did not really matter except it helped with the address verification process. At the time of application my TU score was 730 (MyFICO.com) with 2 inq. from the last 6 months. No derogs. If you have any other questions please post and I will try to answer them. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> okay here's the latest update. In my act of being stupid and silly I applied for a Citi AA account and a Fleet account. I called Citi and was told that I was declined due to a past account that was closed by Citibank. Citibank does maintain a blacklist. Do not apply unless you feel lucky or stupid like me. As for Fleet I was declined with no explaination as this will be mailed to me. My guess is it's too many inquires in the last 6 months. I'm not really disappointed that Citibank declined me as this was expected despite the 'preapproval' status that I was given. Also I'm really happy that Fleet decline me as this was one account that I really did not want to mess with. I pulled my TU file from MyFICO.com and the score was 731 with no derogs (Citibank and Fleet pulls were there) Okay I did manage to obtain the 7 cc that I really wanted and will now spend 2004 to build a good relationship with them and will not be applying for any cc during that span. I have more credit than I need and will have a tough time trying to keep track of them. My next phase is to slowly start closing my sub-prime stuff. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> who did they pull and where do you live? Thanks Mirage and congrats!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> Thanks for the update Mirage. And.....Congratulations!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: thinking about going for bank one> Mirage..thank you for the update and congrats on the approval(s)! Thanks also for letting us know about Citi. I think you will be better off without Fleet, as well! Nice to sit back now and enjoy your successes!
