Looks to me that the CRA and CA have done really well with lobbying in D.C.

The first time I read this it sounded kind ingenious, but then I realized that it implies that you both "own" the customers' business on a handshake. So let me play devil's advocate. I am referred by the mortgage broker to YOU. You are kind enough to help me fix my credit. Hey, I am about to go shopping and am not legally obligated to return to the original mortgage broker. You have no signed contract, and if I decidesnot to pay you now that my credit is squeeky what contract would you use to sue? This could never be hush hush, in reality.

I haven't looked at the rewind site, but surely he's accepting $$ for credit repair, but doesn't involve getting paid from the banker.

Sooooooooo......... maybe I'm way out in left field here BUT didn't someone say that NPs are exempt for some of these rules? If so, there's always that route. And btw, NP does not mean you don't get paid.

    Something to check.

i gave you some advice, resources and a 1 hour CR review and another 1 hour consultation, at the end you gave me money
none ive already been paid, however if you do go back to the mortgage broker who referred you to me and close on a mortgage, i could conceivably get a commission (if legal of course)

In summary, you were originally turned down for a mortgage or offered less than desirable terms (which is a technique brokers use to dump you), but due to some simple maneuvers i helped you out with you have a decent mortgage with decent terms---you have become my best marketing resource!

onethings i noticed is that many people are 10-20 fico points from getting a good rate. with just a little help these people are able to save thousands.

Im still working on this concept and just about done a business plan for it, one of life's little surprises got me so im a little absorbed in that right now.

any other thoughts on this would be great.

    thanks,

    bugman.

just as a side note to all of this.

most of us who post or lurk have taken things in their own hands so far as this credit game.

unfortunately, others are not so willing to get in the 'game' as deeply. these are the potential clients i refer to.

There are many resources available to ANYONE should they choose to spend the time to find out.

Its odd but a personal one on one touch is still prevalent and in my mind will always be. After all we are not computers but living feeling people.

This business concept is based on people who seek to help themselves without spending a ton of cash. its about motivating them to help themselves. and ultimately its about them saving money.

Many people simply don't have the time to research and FEEL comfortable with what they could do. at least that's been my experience. after some time and results, my cautiosness subsided as i felt more comfortable.

as i look back on my brief experience its astounding.

as with most things you want to be succesful with its about how much time your willing to put into it, many people simply don't have that time.

I looked at the rewind site, 500 for single and 900 for a couple...UPFRONT.......the only thing I pay for upfront is when I am at Mc Donalds drive thru. ;)

exactly, how this guy is getting away with it is unreal. he's totally violating the Fed CRO Act.

not to mention his fees, let alone the lame website.

this is a 1 lawsuit and done scenario.

lame website? If you wanna see a lame website check mine out.......it's what you get when you have a mortgage guy that insists on doing it himself...and isn;t very good at it. ;)
