I just needed to vent. I have this paid/released tax lien on Experian and it is killing me. The old address has been deleted and it still gets verified. That is twice that Experian has verified on me. I might need to start drinking. It showed up back in June so I know my fico took a whooper.

    Can anyone feel my pain!!!!!!!!!!!

More than you know! EX was the only one that didn't have my unpaid CO tax lien. (It was over 7 years old). To get it off the other bureaus I had to get the state of Colorado to file the release which they had failed to do 7 years prior. They filed the release with the court.

    BANG!

Now it showed paid on EQ and TU with a 2002 date! OMG! tanked my scores and then...there it was, back on EX! Damn!!

It took 3 more months of threatening to sue to get all 3 to delete. It is their "policy" to use "date of release" to determine when to delete the listing. The LAW states date of PAYMENT! I had paid it in 1995!!!!

Alas, it finally dropped off all 3! ;-)

I sent Experian an ITS letter today. I hope this gets that lien resolved!
