In the process of buying my first house. In a time crunch so I figure I will pay for deletions. 1)CA #1: send an offer for full payment ($50.00) in exchange for deletion. CA #1 never responds to offer. Today I realize that they are trying to collect on a NCO account that could not be Validated. What should I do now? 2)CA #2: send an offer for half payment (175.00) in exchange for deletion. CA #2 responds by accepting the offer, however the account number is different. Upon further review, I find that the account number for the account belongs to my ex wife for her daughter. I have a letter from the OC that I am not responsible for the account. Now what? Here is the best one... 3)CA #3: send an offer for half payment (250.00) in exchange for deletion. CA #3's lawyer responds to my settlement by stating my offer is rejected, but is willing to negotiate. I call the lawyer to see what he will accept. (voice mail) Lawyer returns my call 3 days later and states that his client is unable to validate the debt and the entry will be removed. What is the best way to handle this? Their lawyer said it might take awhile to send in the update to the CRA's. I remember something about an UDF form. What is it? and can I force the CA to submit it? Thank you in advance! tix
I remember something about an UDF form. What is it? ================== What a creditor sends to a CRA to report info.
