I was looking at my credit report online today(equifax) and noticed that my collection accounts have about half of the acct#, it says this is for consumer protection. However, I look down at the good acct's and they are showing the full acct#. Seems to me the acct's in good standing would need to be scrambled, not an account # someone would get nothing out of(collection account). I though this was rather ridiculous aand shows the CRA's true thinking.
Excellant Point! Why do they do that? Has anyone ever complained to cra and if so what answer did you get? Tuit
