I disputed a CA on my reports that came back verified. I called the CA to see what info they had. I call the CSuckerR asks for the acct #, I give him the one from my report. He say hello Kbanger we are trying to collect a debt from ABC phone company. I say oh' really. He says yes, I said for what phone # number and address. He gives me my current address, I said and you are collecting this for ABC phone, he says yes. I said you know I live in Ct and ABC phone doesn't even operate in this state. He says that does not matter, we have your info. This is were it starts to amuse me: I say validate the debt, you have my current address. Validate the debt. He says all I am going to send you is a piece of paper requesting that you pay the bill. I say that is not validation, he says what did you say, I say again that is not validation. He says, it has your name and SSN. I say okay, so what. Validate it. He says I just did. I say do you know what validatio is? He says...NO. I say get your supervisor Super gets on the phone, asks same info. I say how can you bill me for this. ABC does not operate in my state. She then says we got your address from the dispute of a CRA. I said what address is this from? She gives me a address for in the area that ABC services. I said never lived there. You haven't? Nope. She asks me If I know anyone at an USABC airlines. I say no. Cause I don't. I tell her validate this debt, you have my address already send me the required documents. She states, We will let our client ABC know that this is a fraud account and will be sending you a fraud kit for you to sign. I say you put this on my report, so validate it. That is what I am doing by sending you the fraud kit. I say thank you and have a nice day. I am now going to write them and see what other idiotic things they have to say.
You have to admit that when I was asking him for validation, and he kept saying he has and then when I asked him if he knew what it was, he said no! What an idiot. Letter is all typed and ready for CRRR. Thanks board for teaching me.
KB.. that was one of the best things I have heard.... From what I have been learning on the board I "almost" invite any CA to call me.... BRING IT ON!!!!
It would be funnier if the bozos didn't have their hands in our credit reports. It's actually scary to me.
Great point Smog, That's the whole point. This country contains more morons than you can say a prayer over but some are in a position to screw you up. This thread is excellent testimony that you SHOULD NOT talk to them on the phone without recording the convo. If you haven't invested the little $40 it takes to be up and running on recording calls, shame on you.
