    Do the CC companies keep you on file permanently after charge-offs if they are no longer on your credit reports due to deletions or after the 7 year auto deletion time frame?

    Just curious.

    It's not a stupid question. Some seem to and some do not. I had a chargeoff with Citibank and have several cards from them now. I had several seriously delinquent accounts with Amex in the past and today was approved for their Platinum card.

    Sears? They seem to remember forever. MBNA? Same story. It's really hit and miss.
