Yesterday, I actually talked to a CRA rep at Eq..(against all my instincts)..and she gave me a few little tidbits..remember, all info is "he/she said" *Because I was working on a mortgage issue, they would correct in 5 days if I faxed it. *I had already had this account corrected once and sent proof. I asked about the proof I'd already sent and she said that they shred everything once a decision is made on the request. (This actually comforted me as I gave them way to much info when I was new at this.) *If you say something lighthearted, you will be met with dead silence. Now, what's true or not, you can decide..but that's what I was told.
OH, sure..I'll give you what they gave me...ummm...let me get it...1-888-345-9399 Can you post the other 2 so we can have them in one place? Has anyone had luck with fax disputing?
I've been told twice about this so called 5 day timeframe. Both times the infomation came from the the managers of 2 large banks, both of whom I respected. This may have some foundation in reality, but where? VJ
