Is there a 7 year limit on reporting addresses? I ran a search but could not find it. We have some addresses that are very old on cr's.

    TIA

The FCRA says that derogatory information can be reported for only 7 years.

Old addresses are not "derogatory" information.

A quick phone call should get them removed tho.

I still have an old address from when before I moved to Europe, 25 years ago. lol

Thanks, Butch. I had several removed over the phone yesterday, just not sure how far back to goi Didn't want to break any rules!

How come they aren't derogatory, Butch dude?

The information, length of residence, impacts your score.

The information, like all information, is neutral, it depends what it is being used for.

    Hmmm, interesting to think on.
