Hey, I applied for a Chase Wal mart card about a week ago and got approved. I called back the retention dept to convert it to the platinum card in a week of gettin the card . That was a success. The rep told me that I could go ahead and apply for the Chase Freedom card (i told him i would rather have that, then platinum , so he told me to apply again). So i applied over the phone. I called today to check on that status and the lady told me it was denied. The reason give was Duplicate. I cannot apply for another chase card within 75 days of gettin the first one. Is this true? I sure as hell took a hard inq on my TU for this. Can I ask them to take the inq off if that's true? And if I can...what number should i call? Thanks,
