    Doc ~

Even us longtimers can benefit from this post ~ and the primer, too. Thanks for both of these!

I have been at this for almost a year now, off and on, taking little breaks in between so that I won't burn out ~ and I have found, patience and persistence is the key.

The three collection agencies that I have been dealing with for the past month have all screwed themselves. What am I doing? Just sitting here and waiting out the 30 day validation period just to see how many times they do screw up and racking up violations. I had one of the CA's sign for my validation letter, pulled my CR two days later, and to date (21 days into this) have sent me three collection letters demanding payment. The other two have both sent collection letters after signing for the validation letter. Oh boy, oh boy. I can't wait.

    Thanks again!!!

Girlie, I think you have hit on two very important issues(for me at least). I began in March and have taken a couple of breaks to, like you say, prevent burnout and to calm my nerves. I'm a bit of a worry wort!!

And you are absolutely correct - patience and persistence are very important. Since I've incorporated little mini-breaks into my *routine*, my thoughts have been clearer and my focus is better.

Well, I woke up this morning, and you were on my minddddddddd... You were on my mind.... I got troubles, whoa-whoa

Actually, listen to the song by clicking here:
    http://floswavs.sytes.net/flotag6/wheniwakeupthismorningwe5.wav

    Anyway...

I woke up this morning, and I saw that the "Get a Litigious Mindset" tip was pinned to the top of the list, and I have a few thoughts:

While I'm glad some have found it useful, I would like to suggest that pbm unpin this message and let it float naturally alongside the thousands of other crucial messages posted to this board. Then, since it apparently has proven to be a useful message, I would ask that this mindset tip be appended to the original Credit Repair Primer message as well. That way only one of my messages are pinned to the top. Here's why:

    1) The more messages that are pinned to the top, the fewer current messages can be viewed in the listing. I like the idea of the "FAQ" and "Glossary" threads being right up at the top because those have really cut down on the number of people who post stuff like "What's 'bump' mean?" I like the Credit Repair Primer message up there because I think it's cut down on the number of "how do I get started?" threads -- instead we're now seeing significant numbers of newcomers just going ahead and laying it all out and asking for help as they should. I'm not sure the "litigious mindset" tip will cut down on anything; and while I certainly believe the message is important (like, duh, I wrote it, so I hope I think it's important, lol), I think it could easily be spliced into the Credit Repair Primer thread.

    2) While having one message pinned to the top is an honor (thank you!), having two is an embarrassment, lol. It's like being the kid who always raises his hand in the front row of the classroom. Yes, Brant was smart and said useful things, but after awhile everyone wanted to kill Brant anyway. I'd rather not be killed.

    3) Before somebody writes me and says, "I knew you were pbm, otherwise how do you explain those two messages pinned to the top," let me be the first to answer the objection with this post, lol.

    That's about it. :)

When I am enraged and start yelling and throwing things I am mentally healthy, yes? But then they threaten to put me in jail? So its illegal to be mentally healthy and congruent?

    Great post Doc!

Uh... no. Likewise, if you're feeling sexy and you jump atop a total stranger at the mall, that doesn't signify mental health either. I suspect you're joking, LOL, but in case you missed the point: I'm referring to the person who SEETHES WITH ANGER but GOES AROUND SMILING ALL THE TIME... or that person who FEELS SEXUAL A LOT but CAN'T BRING HIM- OR HERSELF TO EVEN START DATING... those kinds of self-defeating incongruencies. In this context, specifically, I'm simply saying, "Hey, credit repair is the serious business of defending your federally guaranteed civil rights against those who would violate them. Act like that's your purpose, and you will bolster your success."

Hermit5, did I lose you buddy? I realize the material's tough, but there's no final exam. :)

Sorry Doc, yes I was joking somewhat.
BUT there is a bit of truth in what I said. It seems to me that society doesn't tolerate anger as much as it used to.
At least from males. Now i don't mean that a person should go around breaking stuff ect. but I have never been one to stuff my emotions. When I am angry you know it (often to my detrement). Funny thing is I never get a headache, stomach problems and other such symptoms, but I digress.

    I'm right with you....

incongruent: when beliefs and behaviors do not match or are inconsistent within a relationship with each other. some body sounded lost mainly me had to go back ot the research I did in college dealing specifically with incongruency (cigarette smoking nad health)

This thread deserves a bump in light of Rina's post with NACA's testimony regarding the FCRA.
