I think you can apply for TJMaxx Visa over the internet. Here is the link: http://apply2.capitalone.com/5804/1-613/index.jsp?c=TJMaxx&s=05804001613XXTM11XX9TJXMAXCOXX&t=ad Ron.
I have this card, it is pretty nice I think. Too bad Cook will not call me back on my other Cap1 card!!!!!
radiohead, I don't have this card and I have Kmart MC with credit limit of 5500 and 11.9% fixed rate. They offered me TJX Visa a couple of times last year and $6 per month membeship. I didn't apply for one. Ron.
$6 a month? Fools. I am glad you turned them down. This card was funny because, they gave me a $200 limit when I first got it, and I was umm ok. But 2 months later they increased it to 1k, didnt ask or anything. I got the card in October, still on the 4.9 apr.
radiohead, I got pre-select Kmart MC from Capital One and they apporved me $3000. I haven't used it for wo months and they increased credit limit from $3000 to $5500 without asking. It's too bad they didn't report credit limit. It is the lowest APR with Capital One so far. Ron.
I know, I hate that they do not report the limits.. not that I can brag about mine. But, does anyone know the reasoning behind their absurd policy?
radiohead, They don't report your credit limit because they wanted to stay with them forever. They don't wnat you to do business with someone else. By the way, I don't use my Capital One that much because they don't give you any cash rewards like Discover, Citibank, MBNA. Ron.
By reporting their CL, they expose that info to other banks that want your business. Example: Bank A offers you a $300 Visa CL, you accept, and they report it to CRAs Bank B does a promo inquiry of your report and sees the $300 CL of Bank A and sends you an offer of $1000 CL. The theory assumes you would then close the original Visa from Bank A and accept the offer from Bank B.
Oh I see... well rest assured Cap1, when I climb out of this sub-prime hell, you will go even further into the sock drawer, hell maybe even that drawer at the bottom of the dresser, where you have those old clothes you don't really wear. Yeah, that is where you are headed. What do you have in your bottom drawer? (tm)
radiohead, Here is the explaination: http://www.bankrate.com/brm/news/special/19990903.asp?prodtype=cc Ron.
