    About CitiFinancial:

You stated that "CitiFinancial is actually what was known as AVCO."

The facts are that CitiFinancial is actually what was formerly known as Commercial Credit. It was an independent company which acquired Primerica, formerly American Can, and then changed its own name to Primerica. Then it merged with Travelers and changed its name to Travelers Group. Then it merged with Citicorp and changed its name to Citigroup. After the last acquisition, the Commercial Credit subsidiary finally changed its own name to CitiFinancial, about a year ago.

Just now I did a Web search for "Avco Financial," and one of the top results was an old news item. Apparently, Associates acquired Avco Financial Services in 1999. Sooner or later, the former Avco offices, now Associates offices, will be CitiFinancial offices. But CitiFinancial, the Citigroup subsidiary that is acquiring them, was formerly known as Commercial Credit.

If I can ever provide you with accurate information in the future, please let me know.
