I saw your post regarding Travelers and wanted to post but it is so far back I didn't think you would see it. I have Travelersa and my Equifax score as of about two weeks ago is 641 and my Trans Union of two weeks ago is 651. I have been with them for about a year. I am sure my score was a lot lower when I got the insurance. I had six negatives on Trans and now I have one (651). Hope this helps.
Hi Molly, Thank you very much, that is appreciated. They told me that they just recently started doing this in Texas because they had so many people who defaulted on their policies, I think it must not be standard everywhere. I was also denied by AAA today, she was a little more helpful, they have a system that puts credit and driving history together. She told me I was 30 points off for qualifying, to wait 6 months and try again. Junum has been doing a good job for us, we have tons of negatives and massive inquiries. I just don't understand, Ford will finance a $23,000 SVU for me, but I have to stick with State Farm Insurance because no one else will give me any.
ASK THEM TO SHOW PROOF THAT DRIVING AND CREDIT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER!!! There are many people who have rotten credit that have NEVER had a ticket or accident... There are many people who have perfect credit and have MANY tickets and accidents... THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW AGAINST IT!!!

Bohemian.... I use Amex Auto Insurance. I don't remember them pulling my CRA to qualify me. Also, they are FAR cheaper than ANY other insurance I've ever had. Even Geico. Their number is 800-842-3344. Good luck and let me know what happens!
My friend ran into the same problem with AAA. She didn't qualify for THEIR insurance but they have a sister company called Western United. It's for AAA members that don't qualify for traditional AAA insurance. Since she has marks on her driving record, she decided to go w/ Western United but I guess they pulled a credit report and she was told that she would have to pay the yearly premium in 2 payments! The agent stated that her credit score was too low to do monthly payments. Her score was 515 and the agent told her that 515 was a fair score! HA! When I told her that 515 was BAD, she was blown away. The reason why her score is low is because she has 1 $120 collection, 3 major credit cards and 1 dept. store card that are ALL practically MAXED OUT! Oh...not to mention 80 million inquiries and a *High Risk* auto loan. But she has never been late on any of her cards and she pays more than the minimum which is good. By the way.....I have Western United insurance too <snicker!> and they didn't pull a CR on me. I pay them monthly too but am charged a small fee to do so! I read somewhere on this board that the reason why insurance companies are pulling CR's is because in essence, they are extending you credit since you are not paying the yearly premium up front? or something along that line. Anyone care to elaborate?
AAA I ALWAYS PAID AAA INSURANCE IN FULL FOR THE WHOLE YEAR ONE OR TWO WEEKS BEFORE COVERAGE STARTED, SO THEY WERE NEVER A CREDITOR!!! NOW I HAVE FARMERS INSURANCE AND PAY ONE OR TWO WEEKS BEFORE COVERAGE STARTS...THEY BILL TWO TIMES PER YEAR, SO THEY ARE NOT A CREDITOR!!! DON'T GIVE SS# UNLESS THEY CAN SHOW YOU IN WRITING THE STATE LAW THAT SAYS IT IS REQUIRED!!!!!!!
