Guys, you're putting George in a tough position. Walmart has probably instructed there managers not to make any public comment about pending litigation. As long as he is working for them, he needs to respect that policy.

Yeah, I don't get this! Why put a long standing member on the hotseat?

    Leave George alone.

I wasn't trying to put GEORGE in the hot seat. Sorry for coming off like that. I'm just curious on info that he has already posted. His prior work hours aren't a secret here. I was just wondering what was going on. Sorry for causing anyone to feel uncomfortable. I would of been fine with him at least posting "No Comment". But for him to flat out ignore the post was rather odd. Oh well...

    Sorry GEORGE! :-(

MP, exactly. No need to get people upset. George has shared much of his work, his hours, etc. Even an offical George "No Comment" would be good. Otherwise why share so much about work?

I think he is smart not to post anything at all. Too much Walmart-bashing going on.

Breeze? Wal-Mart Bashing? SEVERAL STATES ARE GOING AFTER WAL-MART for abusing the very people who CANNOT AFFORD to be abused. These are folks working for low wages and trying to make ends meet. The idea of not being paid for all hours worked makes me sick. Sure, "they could quit." But, with limited options, they may have little choice but to subject themselves to abuse.

Anyone care to help me make this point clear? I know you folks care....we don't need to start DEFENDING WAL MART do we? Damn.

Joe, buzz off. I am not debating with you. You are trying to agitate. I like George, and I am not into embarrassing my friends.

You are going on ignore, so don't bother answering.

What happened to peace and love on creditnet?
...this is fast becoming not my kind of place.

Breeze can does whatever Breeze wants. Now I am going on Ignore because I said something poor Breeze didn't like. BUZZ OFF? Someone tell Breeze for me that I appreciate the love, but I am already taken.

I don't know what to say here...

I wasn't trying to start anything. GEORGE is a stand up kinda guy. Personally...I was hoping that maybe he had something more positive to say about the articles. You know how sometimes the media have a tendancy to blow stuff out of proportion.

Personally...I don't shop at Wal-Mart because the closest one to my house is an absolute dump. I can't stand shopping there even though their prices are very competative. I choose to spend a little more to shop in a cleaner enviornment. I'm not trying to say that this is how ALL Wal-Marts are because I know that is not true. The next closest one is very nice but I can't drive 30+ minutes every time.

To be honest, the reason why I was even curious about GEORGE's opinion on the matter was because from reading his posts for the last 2 years, I get the impression that he values his job and wouldn't put up or work for a corporation that was allegedly (sp?) doing this to people.

But that's neither here nor there since this thread has been deemed off topic. I'll let it go...

    SEE OTHER POST...

    I won't comment on any of the WAL*MART bashing...some people hate TARGET...some hate K-MART...

...AND YES I DO SHOP AT TARGET...BUT NOT K-MART (for many years)...I just didn't like the lack of employees and the "LOOK" of the store...

    Dear Members,

For what it's worth, I do not find it unreasonable or inappropriate to ask George about these recent events. Given some of the information percolating on this board it is obvious that "insider" information is welcome indeed.

At the same time George has certain considerations to make. It is his prerogative to refrain from commenting on this issue, and he is obviously exercising that right. Since George is refraining from further comment I fear that allowing this thread to continue will invariably transform it into an interrogation rather than the genuine inquiry that I believe it was intended to be. I am therefore closing the two relevant threads.

    Sincerely,
    pbm
