Jim, if you hardly ever used your gold AmEx card, and then retired it in 1995, at least 3 years before your bankruptcy, then how can you be on the AmEx blacklist? I hope you're wrong about that.
Thanks for the support but!! I discharged $15K on an Optima card in 1998 when I BK'd. I hope I am wrong but as I remember Optima was affiliated with AMEX because I asked to keep the Optima card in 1995 as it had no annual fee. AMEX obliged. Give me your opinion. Your posts are always welcome particularly as you are very detailed in your analysis.
RE: American Express There's no question that you're right. I simply didn't know about the Optima card, and thought the only issue was the Gold card.
