Kristi, Can you tell us some things about Manhattan Legal Service that is being advertised on the Carreon and Associates website. It appears they are being recommended instead of Lexington. I am asking this because I need another round of credit restoration and I have never seen any threads on Manhattan here. BTW, I read the generic information Manhattan provided on the Carreon website about their program, cost etc. Last year you got asked the same question about Junum. Your answer as I recall was that Junum was/is a low cost alternative to a law firm. When I read your answer, I hired Junum with good results. So why should I hire Manhattan? I am ready to sign a retainer right now. Thanks - Jim
Kristi doesnt post nearly as much as she used too. I do remember reading a post from her last week I believe, but it was the first one in a long time. I am not even sure if I remember her posting since the board changed. Mike G.
I contacted the New York Metropolitan BBB and they indicated the business is not a member and they have no complaints on file. That could be good or bad I suppose. From their website, it doesn't look as if what they do is much different from Junum, Lexington, Etc and the fees are about the same as Lexington.
Sorry, I just happened to log in and check for new messages and saw this thread. I really try to check in more often but I am as usual short on time. Manhattan is a new provider to us and an alternative for those who simply are insistent on having a lawyer. I personally love the ease and technology of Junum, always have. It's the only thing out there that is state of the art restoration. Of course, I am biased as I have helped develop their product line and work really close with their team. These are very hardworking people to say the least. Even with a few bumps they have along the way, they always come out with a better more predictable product and result. They certainly are tightening up their offerings. I have never been a big fan of the fees lawyers charge but compared to a lot of the junk offered out there, we were happy with Manhattan's ethics and fees. As far as Lexington goes, it's funny. people always ask me to comment on them and the humor in this is that we really pushed Lexington a few years ago and found them to have good results however, they didn't feel we were worth paying a good referral fee to so essentially we ended up referring thousands of dollars to them and no fairness was offered back in the way of finders fees besides the .35 cents they were willing to pay. We are a website that only exists from advertisers fees and the sale of our credit book. They seemed a bit greedy in my own personal opinion. Manhattan is willing to pay its partners 10.00 per lead which helps us to keep on providing free content. However, we do not offer any services that are not credible no matter what they pay. We have had a lot of our members say they are happy with Manhattan's work so we are trying them out. I would love to hear feedback from clients so we can post the results. Take Care, Kristi
Kristi, Thank you very much for your comments. I appreciate you taking the time to answer me. If I use Manhattan, I will be certain to mention Carreon & Assoc. as my referral. In a few weeks, I should receive responses to the disputes I am doing on my own. Then I will be ready to hire a firm again to assist me. Jim P.S. I am glad to see that you still read and contribute to the board.
