Hi LBrown, You responded to my post a few days ago in ref to getting neg items off of my CR and the last two exchanges were: """"Thanks LB, I actually got to most of those links (your links) yesterday. But now the online service at Experian wants to know what my addresses have been for the last 5 years. So it gets trickier than described by Manny over on the other board. Cosmo Topper -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just give them your current addy. No dates""" I'm trying to do all this online at the individual CRA websites, not en masse "3-fers" sites. You are saying just list my current address as the one and only, leave off/deny old addresses they have for me but what do you mean by "no dates"? Thanks in advance. My horrible credit situation came out of an ex-husband who went wild the last 4 years months before I had to file a RO when he completely destroyed my office one night on a drunken tear. He tanked our business, too, of which I was an officer, and the corporate veil did not protect me. I'm not looking for anyone to rescue me, just want to see if I can't get my credit back to where it was the best I can. When I went in to buy a car last fall the salesman had my report and he said, "My God, you have a straight line of 1's for years and then, BOOM, 9." Yup. Thanks, Cosmo
I just tried once again to get into Experian's online dispute system. I entered the current address I used to get the online report a few days ago, all the same info, I left blank the "If you have lived at the above address less than 5 years, please list previous addresses" area. The system then listed several questions to verify my identity: I checked off "none of the above" for the 1997 mortgage question as I have signed off on that with a quitclaim and no longer liable for it from my divorce decree, and also, it's an old address of course, that I want deleted from my reports. But confirmed the query about my recent car loan from Ford, including the account number and payment. Then I get this every single time: """Error _ We are unable to allow access to our online dispute service. We understand that the privacy and security of your information is important to you; therefore, we cannot provide a specific reason as to why we cannot allow access. Our registration process is designed to ensure that your credit information is released only to you. You must have a current copy of your personal credit report from Experian in order to dispute information. Please call 1 866 851 6901 to order your report through our automated service."""" Doesn't my online report count as a "current copy"? Do I have to have a hard copy? They never provided a ref or file number for me to use either. Thanks in advance, Cosmo
