Lizard, thanks for posting on my 'Taxpayer ID# after BK' post. Hey I would like to ask your opinion of the thing. The reason why I am singling you out is that you mentioned a while ago that a friend of yours was going into BK and was strategizing on how to minimize the damage. Also, your charge off tactics have been brilliant. What we need here on the board is the equivalent of your charge off tactics ( lawsuit etc.) for the BK people.

Just for the record, I don't see anything immoral about using the EIN# in place of the SS# if it gets you where you need to go credit wise. As long as you pay your bills.

Please don't think I am kissing your rear ( I guess I am in a way) but not everybody here on the board is sophisticated enough to know about EIN#'s, small claims court etc.

LKH, I know that you have used Lizard's tactics with Gulf state with great success. What do you think?

You guys can answer me on the 'Taxpayer ID# after BK' post, if you don't mind.

I say this with humility, but I am really think I am on to something big with this file segregation idea. I would hate to see the post die of old age without more comments from you guys.

Thanks for the reply Lizard. It was not what I expected but then I am here to learn.

Do you have any thoughts on how I might get rid of the public record of our BK on the 3 CRA's. It has been 5 years now and we did unsuccessfully challenge the BK 'as not mine' in February on all 3 CRA'. Quite a few of the charge offs in the BK have been removed. As I stated on the other post, we are doing fine credit wise as time has gone by ( 13 cards and a new car loan between us). But 5 more years to get rid of the BK is a long time to suffer.

    Lizard,

Thanks for the info. I did not know what you have just shared with me. Do the board a favor and keep us posted about your friends progress. It would be a tremendous help here if you can do for us BKers what you did for the people with collections and chargeoffs.

We plan to move soon anyway. So that will be 1 down out of 3.

I am really interesting in what your said that all SSN, name & address has to match. The charge off account has diffrnt first name, but with my maiden last name, not to metion the account is back in 96-97. Should I send a validation letter/ a disoute letter to CRA or SOL"run" letter to CA?? Any sugg is greatly appreciated!
