Do you have any additional spin on the "Junum letter"? I don't know what to think of the post myself. Didn't Junum inform you that they notify the CRA that they are a law firm working on your behalf? Anything here is possible. Perhaps we are seeing multiple strategies at work including the "Junum letter".
That's what they told me. Of course, I was talking to a customer service rep, and we all know they say things they don't really know about and without thinking before they speak. I disputed a 6 year old repo that was being double reported several times and could not get it deleted. Junum disputes once, and both are gone. I find it very hard to believe that all they do is use the bureaus' own dispute forms. They may do that in some instances, but with the success I have had, I have to believe they did a little more than just use the bureaus form. I just can't believe they would have so much more success than me doing it exactly as I did.
I agree with you. Those 13 negatives deleted off my reports were hard to get rid of items. The only thing I can think of is that the type and age of the items Shelby needed to have disputed must have appeared simple to get rid of. On another topic, still no news from HCS on the GM card. 20 days now.
What is the problem with HCS? Is it really that difficult a decision to make? I'd almost at this point tell them to keep their damn card. How much longer did they say it would take? On the subject of letters from the cra's re: receiving dispute letters. I have never received one from any of the cra's. Transunion deleted and updated my report within 2 weeks of receipt of the disputes. Junum sent round 2 to TU about 2 weeks ago and since I've received no letter I guess it's safe to assume that an update should be coming fairly soon. I can't wait for that one - 4 more deletions and it will be perfect and then I can apply for a "prime" card.
I hope your TU report gets clean after round 2. Round 3 has been a bust for me so far. No deletions on EQ ( 3 negs) or TU ( 2 negs). I am waiting for Experian ( 3 negs) which was mailed by Junum on 3-13-01. My problem is that the total of 8 negs are all "verified" BK related credit card accounts. HCS said to call back on Tuesday, April 24.
Can I interrupt? (Gonna do it anyway)..I really think Junum has to do a variety of disputes depending on the situation..there is no way that my 2 file error could have been handled with the standard form..so...it has to be..
To: Nana I like the way you have surfaced interesting info about your Junum experience. Keep it up. My deleted items included 10 BK related credit card accounts and a Foreclosure. All from 1998. This is the worst stuff to get rid of. As a side issue, I never had a credit problem of any kind until '98 when I was injured. Also, interrupt or butt in any time you like. LOL. I like your posts and I will probably chat with you at creditmania on Sunday if you stop by.
