Sound info on Bank of America.

I don't think you'd need 100k to get a credit card but they may be skeptical to start at Platinum.

Negotiate and try though. :) If you've rebuilt credit and Fico is reasonable you should be able to at least go prime with them and then later upgrade terms and loc if necessary."

    Marie,

I think the larger the deposits the better leverage to get a Platinum, wouldn't you say?

For example, you have accounts and large deposits, you could take your business elsewhere should BofA turn you down for Platinum. You could move your business to another bank. They know you will not hesistate to open other accounts if they burn you.

Wouldn't hurt :) Besides, when you get a line of credit or credit card with a bank where you have funds on deposit they get the prorpietary right to snatch your funds in your account should you go delinquent. so it's less risk for them.

Also, make friends with a local loan officer. It's always good when they know you by name. That wasy they'll go the extra mile.

    You've got a great strategy!
