I see that you're having some "trouble" with them. As am I. Can you give an update or email me? Thanks
I just got them disputed off my Experian report. I don't think I've ever gotten any letters from them but they're on my TU report too (hopefully only until the investigation is complete). I too am wondering other's experiences with them.
Shantel, I love your tag line! living in those shoes and everytime I read a post of yours I get a warm and fuzzy bring it on surge! I'm curious of others experiences in dealing with arrow as well. Sassy
I'm currently diputing an entry with Arrow Financial. From what I hear they aren't the nicest bunch around. I should be hearing back from them soon. I'll keep everyone posted.
Sassy, I saw your name and I had to laugh...that's my cat's name! And I'm glad I can bring a little warmth your way. My tagline gives me strength when I feel weak in this fight (and that's often).
Yes...please do. They seem to be playing chicken with me but they don't understand that I have NOTHING to lose. That's the worse kind of person to play chicken with.
Here is a letter I sent to Arrow Financial On March 28, 2002. The owner or at least the Officer of the company is an attorney. At least that what it says under the Lincolnwood Better Business Bureau's site. It isn't the "most" professional in rhetoric, but I felt better after I faxed it. What could it hurt? The collection status has expired due to SOL and it's due to come off my record on its own in 1-2003. March 28, 2002 Arrow Financial Financial Phone#: 800-989-4093 (these are the true numbers) Fax#: 847-982-1562 Attention: Customer Care Department Dear Arrow Financial Services: On March 04, 2002, I contacted your company regarding an account that shows up on my credit profile. I have a fax confirmation sheet that shows proof to the State Attorney General's Office in your area, that you received the letter. You have not contacted me concerning this matter as of today's date. I am requesting that you remove this account from my credit file immediately, or show me proof that this account is, in fact mine, by the end of today's business, since I do not believe that it is. All correspondence has and will be, forwarded to your Illinois State Attorney General, Jim Ryan, at his office. I have already spoken with them concerning this issue and they have been very helpful in explaining my rights as a consumer. I have no doubt that if your company will not help me in this matter, the Illinois State Attorney General will pursue you as they have already told me they would. They told me that the process would take approximately 6 weeks. Since I am looking to resolve this matter as soon as possible, I am allowing you one more chance to honor my requests. You have had ample time to gather the information that I have requested, if, in fact, you really do have it. Your company is showing a collection account on my credit report that I have no knowledge of. You are listing the client as First USA. The only reference number that I have is a partial one located on my credit file which is 3736 . . . I am aware that Federal Law requires that upon my request, you must show written proof that the account in question is, in fact, mine. Written proof is a copy of the contract I signed with the original creditor. I have also been informed of Collection Agency tactics that you might say that you mailed me a letter that gave me the right to dipute your claim and that I did not do so within 30 days. Just to save you some time, in case you wanted to try and use this, you can not. I contend that I have NEVER received anything from your company, and just in case my memory does not serve me correctly, please send a copy of the certified receipt or registered mail receipt, with my signature on it that proves you sent me ANY correspondence. I am well aware that the burden of proof rests entirely upon you. If you cause me to have to spend anymore of my time on this without your cooperation, I will seek legal remedies to the extent that law allows. Your 144 complaints with the Lincolnwood Better Business Bureau does not show you as a reputable company. I'll just add my name to the plaintiff's list on the lawsuits against you. Your owner must have graduated from the Mickey Mouse School of Law. Have a good day and Happy Easter! With Warm Regards, XXXXXXXX
Does anyone have a mailing address for Arrow Financial? Just today they appeared on my TU report. I have never heard of them/from them but according to TU the account was placed with Arrow in 02/99 and reported in 02/02 (even though it JUST appeared). I have no clue what debt they think they are trying to collect and intend to find out.
This is interesting Keller.....That's not the same number I have on the later I got dated April 3. But that fax number is GOLDEN! Thanks! I'll fax my letter tomorrow! And the address I have is: 21031 Network Place Chicago, IL 60673-1210 That was directly from the letter that they sent me. However, they have another address to send overnight payments...that is: 7301 North Lincoln Ave., Suite 220 Lincolnwood, IL 60646-1709
Well, I had an account from Levitz that was transferred to them. In 3/00 I contacted them to pay the account off. Maybe I just got lucky but the lady I spoke with was very nice and did everything she said she would. However, they are on my credit-I didn't know back then to negotiate and request the entry be removed. Just to let you know.....
the account was placed with Arrow in 02/99 and reported in 02/02 . IS this legal? How many years after the fact do they have?
Ah, the never ending Arrow Financial Affair. We'll currently, I am in the process of getting ready to send complaints to the IL Attorney General's office. They have refused to validate, have been successfully disputed off of TU and Exp, but just updated with Equifax. I"m out for blood with thes guys. I would like to know what Keller's outcome was from that letter...
Well, I did dispute it w/ EQ and apparently they didn't respond, so it was deleted. Thank God!!! Good luck at getting your situation straightened out with them. HeatherB
