Have any of you Nextcard owners taken advantage of the "rewards" or "concierge" opportunities avilable with the card. I have had the card since April but haven't signed up for these services, YET, as I have been too busy. Some feedback about the advantages / disadvantages would be appreciated. BTW - so far I love the card.
I is 1 Hey Jim - like my intro? I tried out the concierge the first week or so after getting the card, but it hassled me more than helped. It had pop ups for ads, offers, password memorization, etc, - but I thought it took up too much screen space - and I have a 19" Sony monitor. I unhooked. Just my thoughts and my own feelings - c ya Dogman
Re: I is 1 Hey Dog, Thanks for the input. What you stated is why I did not take the time to rush into "concierge". Nextcard is a really good account but I don't want to be bothered with pop up messages etc. On another subject, I hope you saw my responses to you on the "Junum" and "Providian" threads. Like I said, if anything happens on B of A or Citibank via Junum; please post. Thanks for your thoughts. Jim
Re: I is 1 I had the same complaint with Concierge..it was annoying.....got rid of it right quick. One thing I really like about NextCard is that when you view your online transactions, they are sorted by category and sub-totalled. I've had some problems with customer service...one thing I've learned is that their online service is no good. I had some problems with my picture card, and after several online attempts finally called and spoke to a supervisor who immediately fixed the problem. I got a quarterly statement of my rewards points, (which was 0). I understand you must charge $750 on the card before the rewards points program kicks in. Talked to Discovercard yesterday and they said there is no minimum there. All in all, I like NextCard...will be applying for a CL increase in the next couple of months.
