It's been a busy week and I am behind on correspondence. Roni, I believe you said that you were denied for a Nordstrom card. Did that 800# I gave you help at all? As I remember, you applied on-line.

I am very uncomfortable applying on-line as once the computer at the other end sees my BK, I expect an automatic denial. What I liked about Nordstrom was that the rep took my info over the phone and I got the card. I would never have applied to Nordstrom on-line.

    Not Roni but...

    Hey,

You got the card? I must of missed that. What happened? Did you just call an 800 and explain your situation first? Did you get instant approval over the phone or did a card just show up in your mailbox????

No, she said it was denied because of my student loans and I have 5 entries. I told her it was actually 2 loans reported 5 times and she said call Transunion about it. Just a big runaround. Why didnot they pull Experian. Dang.
Transunion is my worst. So I didnot fight it.

Thanks Jim, but I think I just wasnot meant to have this one.

To MP: I was surprised to get the card. I called the local Nordstrom store and they gave me n 800 # to call and speak to Nordstrom credit. I gave this number to Roni. I apllied by phone after the repexplained that I am eligible for consideration as long as I had established new and perfect credit that is over 2 years old since my BK. I applied and the card arrived in the mail.

To Roni: "Meant to have this one" YET. I think this is one more example that with some lenders having a BK is actually not as bad as having the appearance of defaulted student loans etc. I am on the credit wagon but it is tempting to apply to Target since you and Marie got accounts. Congrats on the Target!!!

According to "slimshady" having defaulted student loans is the worse thing in the world. I am really tired of his presence and input here. I hope everything is going good for you. Chat Sunday?
