I read your target post yesterday. If I understood you correctly, you were applying at Target every few months in order to get turned down and receive a free credit report. If this is correct, you have taken me by surprise. If you don't mind me asking - aren't you a consumer who is building excellent credit rather than "rebuilding" damaged credit? I respect your opinions and would appreciate a little insight here if you don't mind. As you know, I am rebuilding after a BK. Thanks P.S. There has been a second Jim on the board. Yes. I didn't mind playing w/ my Experian every couple of months, because other than Target no lender uses it anyway for my state (except for those pulling all 3 like Cap 1). I'd rather take 3 inquiries in 6 months (hence unlimited online credit reports), than pay $50-$70 a year for the privilege, especially since its the least used CRA and the damage being only minor and short term.
