Thanks for the Bradley Ross TU info. Congrats on the credit union secured loan. Don't pay it off too early as it may stay as "I" on Equifax instead of being upgraded to "I1" I hope your CU reports to all 3 CRA's. Mine did.
CU details, good news It's set up for 12 monthly payments out of my checking account. That's so easy -- and no late payments worries. I have it in writing that the credit union reports to all 3 CRAs. Best of all, member services emailed to apologize for the loan department pulling a credit report. The rep said it wasn't supposed to happen with a fully secured loan, so the credit union will contact TransUnion to have the inquiry removed!
Re: CU details, good news Jim, what credit union do you recommend out here in Orange county? I want to do the secured loan method and make sure it reports to all 3. I'm a social ecology major at UCI y the way.
