I have sent the validation letter to a CA CRRR for a Detroit Edison bill that I paid to Detroit Edison. I received no response. I got a letter from a new CA for the same bill. I sent them the validation letter CRRR and they sent me back an account printout from their computers and a letter requesting payment via regular mail. I noticed that the name on the new letter was the same ladys name on the other CA's letter. I have disputed this bill with all 3 Credit bureaus, sending them the paid letter from Detroit Edison. They all came back to me validated. I have also sent this paid letter from Detroit Edison to the CA and now I've sent the validation letter to the CA with the above response. The collection account never showed disputed, and now has been reaged. It shows paid on one and open on the other 2 bureaus. 3 weeks ago I sent a letter to Detroit Edison from Planet Feedback with no response to date. I am pretty frustrated and am ready to sue. I just want to make sure I don't skip anything important. Any Feedback?? Should I sue the Credit Bureaus and the collection agency or just the credit bureaus? Thanks.
There is your key to the lawsuit right there. They can't do that and you can easily prove they did that. Demand validation from the new one as well and get each one on even more violations and then drop the bomb on them with a lawsuit against each of their identities for the violations and you will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are operating illegally by using different names in an attempt to make you believe that some other new collection agency has just been sent into the fray. That is highly illegal. You ought to walk out of that with a very nice cash settlement in your pocket and you can cry about what you did to them all the way to the bank.
Now that is exciting. I am going to love this. Thanks for the reply!!!! I guess I am just a little nervous dealing with these "people". I wish I had a cool tag line. But I don't. Fletch
