Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TODAYS CITIBANK OFFER 0.00%/7.99% THE $$$$$ INTEREST IS NOT THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE... BUT year after year if you NEVER pay it off...IT WOULD BE A BIG DEAL!!! "IF" you had 7.99% 2-cycle...you would still be better off than 16.99% one cycle!!!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TODAYS CITIBANK OFFER 0.00%/7.99% FIRST USA/BANK ONE DOES NOT DO 2-CYCLE BILLING ANY MORE!!! DISCOVERCARD STILL DOES!!! http://www.bankrate.com/brm/news/cc/19980518.asp (-- Posted: May 18, 1998) "IF" you have that kind of card...ALWAYS PAY EARLY IN THE CYCLE...JUST AS SOON AS THE STATEMENT IS GENERATED...AND PAY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!! Paying an extra payment or two helps a lot also... EVEN IF YOU DON'T CHARGE ANYTHING THE NEXT MONTH...YOU WILL HAVE INTEREST!!! BUT 13.99% 2-CYCLE IS STILL BETTER THAN MANY OTHER CARDS!!! Just watch what you spend...when you spend...and when you pay!!! YOU SHOULD NEVER BE PAYING INTEREST ON DISCOVERCARD ANYWAY...YOU LOSE MORE INTEREST MONEY THAN YOU GAIN WITH THE CASH BACK!!!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TODAYS CITIBANK OFFER 0.00%/7.99% Excellent points with both your posts George. 2-cycle billing may stink, but if your other cards have a significantly higher rate, then you are better off even with the 2-cycle billing. and it is usually not very "rewarding" to revolve a balance on a rewards card. You loose the benefit of any rewards earned with the interest you pay to revolve the balance.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TODAYS CITIBANK OFFER 0.00%/7.99% We are on the same page. but, I'm a girl
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TODAYS CITIBANK OFFER 0.00%/7.99% You REALLY notice it if you spend say $15,000 and pay "REAL LATE" in the cycle...like ON THE DUE DATE (pay $14,000)...then the following month only spend $10.00...you have MORE INTEREST THAN CHARGES...but the following month it is almost NOTHING for interest...
