is there even such a thing? will not having any inquiries on your credit report count against you in anyway (fico score?)

we have not applied for anything for over three years, and yet we have inquiries on our report, looking for them to get deleted but wondering if that would be a bad thing?

The inquiries you're referring to are most likely soft inq's, which are coded: AR, PRM, AM. These (soft) inq's are not supposed to have any effect on your score.

There are NEW reasons to deny credit all the time...

Yes you CAN be DENIED for "LACK OF INQUIRES" if they really want to!!!

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DENIED FOR "EXCESSIVE INCOME"...

    :(

I wouldn't worry about lack of hard inquires. If you want to stop in at a auto dealer once a year to generate a hard inquiry, go ahead, but I wouldn't waste my time.

    Good luck.

1*Like I said they change the following rules constantly.
    What can be reported.
What can be used to lower your score.
    How the information is interpreted.
    Terms of written contracts.
This being the case makes it impossible to maintain a correct report or score.
