Hi all, I've been working on improving my credit for the last couple of years and I feel that I have too many cards right now. Which ones do you think I should get rid of ?

    Amex Blue (9.99%)
    Amex HHonors
    Amex Starwood
    Bofa Platinum (9.9%)
    Chase Platinum
    Citi Platinum Select
    Citi HHonors Visa Signature
    Diners Club Montage
    Discover Gold
    Household Gold
    MBNA Elite Rewards Plat Plus
MBNA Amtrak Guest Rewards Plat Plus

    Sears Gold

My oldest accounts are the Blue and Amtrak cards. I'm definitely getting rid of the Household and Discover cards. I'm also thinking about cancelling the Elite Rewards card. Any other suggestions ?

    Thanks.

If I am you I would get rid of Discover,Household and Sears...You don't have to be very proud of having them in your wallet...

Why don´t you combine the three Amex into one (Probably Blue)?.

Also I would close HouseHold and Discover or Sears.

you could also combine the two MBNA (of course keeping the oldest one)

I'd get rid of sears, discover, household, and maybe amex hhonors as the majority of Hiltons are kind of junky anyway.

Discover and Household, as you already know, are the obvious choices for quick elimination. Why not take some time to think about the others?
