Too many offers

    Hi, Is everyone getting alot of mail offers for more credit cards? I must get at least 3 or 4 a week and its not because I have good credit, I am a bit suspicious. Thank You

    SEND ME SOME...all I get is CAPITAL ONE GOLD CARD "up to $3,250" + $49.00 or $72.00/year...

    I keep recieving offers to apply for MBNA..Recieved a couple offers from Suntrust as well....But MBNA sent 3 applications this week...My scores are not all above 600..I dare not apply

    I get lots of "invitations to apply" for prime cards because of my profession. The credit card companies purchase registration lists from trade shows and trade magazines and use them to send these applications. How do I know? I use a different middle initial for each trade show/magazine and then watch the offers roll in with the wrong initial. You have no better chance to get a card by returning one of these application than does the average Joe (or John Galt).

    "You are invited to apply..." is not the same as "You are pre-approved...". Be careful with your inquiries.

    When I used to get 100+/year "PRE-APPROVED" type offers, it seemed like they were better than "OFF THE STREET" applications...
