well now doc, you've gone ahead and hurt my feelings by leaving me off "List, The Sequel." My loquaciousness should count for something. <g>
HE DOES HAVE A CERTAIN SENSE OF URGENCY DOESN'T HE???!!! A STYLE ALL HIS OWN. I THINK I'M BEGINNING TO UNDERSTAND HIS FIXATION WITH THIS. IT'S VERY LIBERATING. I THINK I'M SURGING. I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE AN ALL CAPITALS DAY! CALL IT GEORGE'S ALL CAPS WEDNESDAY IN HONOR OF THE CAPITAL-IST-IN-CHIEF HIMSELF. ;p PRIMAL SCREAM THERAPY FOR CREDINETTERS!!!
Wow. Even *I* made it to #153. Congrats GEORGE on over 9K posts--that's quite an accomplishment. Really though, I enjoy reading your posts, even if each sentence is broken up into 3 posts.
That's a very good point, matt_r. We really need to apply certain formulas to achieve some parity vis-a-vis how much "punch" each Creditnet member packs within a single posting. So for example... -- You were correct in estimating George's Creditnet Meaning Coefficient (CMC) at 0.3333. In other words, you must divide his number of posts by 3 (or multiply by 0.3333) in order to adequately compare him to others. George, then, has packed about as much meaning into 9,000 posts as an average person would do in 3,000 posts. This is not because George doesn't communicate valuable material (and of course, he does). Rather, it's because of what you noted -- he tends to post three consecutive messages anytime he posts. -- lbrown59, of course, has a CMC of 0.01. In other words, you must divide his number of posts by 100 in order to adequately assess his contribution here. No further comment regarding this CMC. -- At the other end of the scale, Lizardking's CMC is 20. You must multiply his actual number of posts by 20 to arrive at his "real" number. In other words, every one of Lizardking's posts is about as valuable as 20 of the average participant's messages. -- Similarly, breeze has a CMC of 100. Her posts are so pithy that each one is as valuable as 100 of anybody else's. I've lost it. Sorry. Doc
lbrown59 is going to PASS me up very soon...1 year difference...but still SO CLOSE... AND I EXPLAINED ABOUT THE 3...POSTS...I went to other posts and came back...with 10,000 posts/day to catch up on...PLUS ALL MY CREDIT CARD SITES!!!
Nice to see that I am 80 and haven't got squat done for myself, hey everyone else's credit I know is looking good.
Nana, I regret that I cannot provide Creditnet Meaning Coefficients for everyone. Calculating the CMC is an excrutiating procedure, requiring hours of painstaking statistical manipulation. However, I am willing to engage such work for a small fee of only $75 for account setup and $35 per month thereafter, and I promise to only charge for the previous month's CMC calculation. If you are interested in this arrangement, let me know, and I will begin collecting data on your behalf. Love, Doc
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH.....ah, um....umm...well, let me think about that....er, um.................well, NO! However, as a math educator, I have derived my own coefficient which is the magical number pi! Or, is that the circular shape of a pie? Or, is the the toilet paper equivalent, ply? Or ... forget it...My coefficient is clearly the variable X!!! ahem! ::::grumble::::I think I have a headache!
reading the lists of names, LOL there has to be some sort of psychological analysis that could be done relative to how one chooses their sign-on name. conjecture?
Oh thank you than you!! And I also did some math, which I am not very good at, and statistics (the only course in which I ever got a D) and I arrived at the Creditnet Contributory Value (CCV), and Doc, you ranked #1, with a CCV of 100%. I am sorry I will not give out the formula, it is proprietary.
