    Five people indicted in alleged SoCal credit score scam

    SANTA ANA, Calif. - Five people have been indicted in connection with a scheme by a Southern California credit-repair firm that allegedly bribed employees at credit bureaus to boost the scores of hundreds of their clients, authorities said.

    The indictment, returned earlier this month by a federal grand jury in Santa Ana, lists 16 counts of fraud and conspiracy and alleges that lenders lost at least $6 million.

    Prosecutors said Monday that insiders eliminated damaging credit information from files at TransUnion, Equifax Inc. and the Experian subsidiary of

    Yeah! They lost from not charging US usurious interest rates! Poor Babies.

    I think the loss was giving credit to people who would not have gotten it, then those people skipped out or filed BK.

    Most of the people here have learned their lessons and would pay it back.
