I am planning to buy either the Toyota Camry or the Nissan Altima this summer. Do any of you that are in the car business know of any financing deals by the manufacturers coming up soon? I am flexible as to when I can buy.

I don't know of any deals coming up for Toyota or Nissan, which I guess I should, since the software I write is used by both their marketing departments! If I hear of anything, I'll let you know.

But, if you can wait until late summer, that is when deals will really kick in. All the car companies will be looking to move their inventory to get the new models out on the lots. The next great time to buy would be at the end of the year, as the dealerships try to move inventory off the lot for year end.

If you don't mind accepting a "last year" model, then you should be able to get a good deal.

We got our Sienna on Jan, but 2 month later they were offring 3.9% for returned Toyota customer..we only got the lousy 9%... The later you buy the car, the better deal you get, and make sure you finance OUTSIDE the dealer, on my previous loan, with dealer was 1% higher & it was from the same bank.
Also, make sure U dont PAY the sticker price. I used to work w/ a Rental car company, & we buy 20-30 cars evy 6 month, the price we get ALWAYS 3-4K less than sticker, & our manager get some "bonus"...But of course if there is certain hot selling color you want, the price wont get that good ( All our rental car has the UGLYiest Color!!!)
    Just some commts..
