how old was the previous mortgage, and how long has it been since they updated it?

if it is a 'stale' i.e. unupdated, trade line it probably wasn't deleted, but suppressed. this is a new thing, basically they're getting ready for FACTA by suppressing any trade line which hasn't been regularly updated by the data furnisher.

If you're only looking at the PG report, you still don't know whether it has been removed as of yet.

If it is only being supressed because of the new policy regarding stale trade lines, then the OC needs to begin reporting the account again, every single month, or the account will become subject to suppression again.

A search for EX POLICY should bring up a post on EX's new policy regarding furnishers needing to report every trade line, every month.

The only way to know for sure if it is just suppressed, or has been deleted is to get a copy of your *REAL* EX report. PG only shows you what is showing to companys who pull your consumer report, it can't show anything that is being suppressed.

If it has actually been deleted, then short of the OC completing a manual form, I don't know of any way that it would be able to come back, however since the OC advised you to dispute with the CRA.

If it has actually been deleted, I would send a written dispute that "An account with _____ which was previously being reported to your company, is no longer showing, but should continue to be reported."
