Grrr.... I just got off the phone with Trans Union i.e. their India call center. I filed a dispute on 4 trade lines 3/6/07. 3/4 have been resolved and corrected for the better. 1 remains unanswered. According to their policy, they give 45 days to resolve the dispute. That's stretching the statute, but, OK. Well, on 3/27/07, I found some more errors and disputed them by phone. Fine, those have 45 days as well to get sorted out. BUT, according to TransUnion, they won't update ANY of the trade lines until ALL of the disputes come back from the creditors OR the end of the latest 45 days. So my resolved disputes from 3/6 won't show up to the world (i.e. a mortgage company) until possibly the middle of MAY!!!! I'm pretty sure that's in violation of the FCRA, but I need to go back and read the fine print. Grrrrrrr.....
