I ordered an investigation through TU 30 days ago and it came back verifiied. I called the company to verify why they are telling TU wrong information. They denied having any contact with TU. I called TU back and demanded to know who they talked too. The Rep said that all she can give me is the company name . I told her I already know who the company is. Then she proceeds to tell me I have to go to court and get a suepena to find out the name of the person contacted.I then explaind to her that on the literature that TU sends with the report it plainly says "if I am interested I can request name, address and telephone number of onyone contacted for information" I asked for a supervisor, she transferred me to a Justine Michaels voice mail and I left my name and number for her to call me back. I am not letting them get away with lying. How do I begin with this?

Do it all in writing, not over the phone.

The TU lit/FCRA never says the name of the person contacted... It says the name ..... company NAME... Rep was right. If you want to press it, you'll have to take them to court.

On the literature that came with my report under disputing incorrect information it says"if interested you may request a description of how the investigation was conducted along with the name ,address and telephone number of anyone contacted for information"
Why would I need them to tell me the Company name as I was the one who obviously gave them the company name in the first place to investigate? I will go back and read this FCRA word for word again.

Don't shoot the messenger, sue the cra. I've read the FCRA. I've read the TU disclosure. NONE of the cras tell you the name of the person they contact because IF they contact the company most of the times it is done electronically. No human there to name.

I think the reason some people "claim" they never work with the CRAs is that they have no tact. You can not be abrassive with these people at all. If you do, you're not going to get ANYWHERE. If you called me screaming or being rude, I wouldn't help you. I do that absolute mininum also.

However, if you are nice, ask for help, joke about how the error may have gotten in the file, you'll be surprised. You need to treat it like an job interview. You want to make this person your friend because they can open the door for you. If you're an ass, you're not going to get the job and you're not going to get the deletion!

    GOOD DAY!
