About two weeks ago I sent TU a letter in response to the "You are using a Credit repair agecy letter" I got from them about seven weeks ago. Today I recieve not one, but two letters from them. One from Fullerton ,CA the other from Chester, PA. The first letter from TU says that based on the info I provided their records show no request for investigation, and that they need the info(wtf). I know I sent the names of crediters and account info in the letter. It also says I can initiate an investigation online or call them.it also says I need to attach proof of address and social Security.
The next letter is the one from Fullerton, CA. It has a request for investigation form, credit report, and a summary of rights under the fair credit reporting act.

My question is what the hell do I do now? Send a different letter(more aggressive), fill out the forms sent in, or dispute online? I just don't want to screw this up. After disputing it seven weeks ago and receiving that (credit agency letter) from them, then sending the letter here responding to that letter what do I do( I know I added the company names and account numnbers to both letters I sent.

I really need help here, so please respond if you have ANYTHING to add.

    Thanks, FICO750

I disputed a judgement online and *poof* they deleted it in about a week. It was easy and fast. I went through worthknowing.com to get to the dispute.

    Good luck,

There is a small box above your credit report thats says "Is your credit report incorrect?" Whe you click on it, it takes you to another page that says......

Where does this data come from??
WorthKnowing.com pulls your credit report from one of the 3 major credit bureaus.... TransUnion. We do not change the data in any, we simply use it to create the web pages that are returned to you, the consumer.

Should I call WorthKnowing.com if something is wrong?
No, we cannot cause a change to your credit information. To dispute errors on this report, go online to http://www.transunion.com/Personal/DisputeOnline.asp. In the online dispute process, Trans Union asks for a Credit Report File Number or a FIN, but it is not required. Leave the File Number field blank and click "next" to save the information and move on to the next steps. Please note that you may need to report any incorrect information to the other bureaus also.

I clicked on the dispute link and blah blah blah. A week later (today) I get my CR in the mail and it says they deleted the judgement. :)

I just feel like their putting me off. Those idiots know damn good and well I sent a letter to them both times with the companies names and account info. They had plenty of time, they(negatives) should be deleted NOW. Anyhow thanks. Any more comments?

I had a similar problem with EQ, I disputed a balance on a paid in full car loan ( last payment) and they first said they verified, I asked for procedures after talking with the creditor who said they verified the dispute and reported zero balance, I also attached a letter from the creditor stating the balance was paid in full.
EQ's reply was for me to send them a copy of my birth certificate.
When I inquired they said "we donâ??t have any record of your request" Hmm now I have the CRRR in my hand.
So I sent them another dispute, with another letter from the creditor, their phone number and contact person.
I believe that the CBR's may be ratcheting up delay tactics because in this case they are clearly wrong and it would be impossible to verify a balance on a paid in full account.
If they donâ??t fix it I will just go ahead and file suit.
