I have done some disputing on my TU report and I need some advice on the results.
    On 9/6 (online)
I disputed a BK.It is being reported as
$0 assets $0 liabilities and an incorrect docket #. I also disputed a "profit and loss writeoff" that has the name of the company spelled incorrectly.

I received a copy of the report dated 9/12 saying investigation completed the results are shown below. It has the BK with the same docket # and it says new information below. However it is listed EXACTLY as it was before. So I pulled a copy of the BK and faxed it to them with a letter on 9/19.

Then I received a report dated 9/19 saying exactly the same thing as above.A few days later I receive another report dated 9/21 again identical as the previous two. All saying investigation completed new info below.

So today I received a copy of my report dated 9/28 saying the investigation is completed results below. It has the writeoff account listed still misspelled and it says new information below. The account is listed exactly as it has been before (still with a verified date of 1/2000). There is also a consumer statement listed on the front sheet that says new information below. I NEVER added any statement at any time. So now there is a consumer statement that says:
Do not confuse with consumers of similar identification:Verify all identifying information.

What the hell is this all about?? Anyone have any input about this and the investigations??

    Sigh. They're on drugs.

Same old song. Read Marie's and LKH's posts back a month or so ago.

Something similar hapened to me with TU. They merged my report with someone of the same name but 30 years younger and living in a state 600 miles away. I disputed everything and they took it off but added the same "consumer statement". I never asked for it. This was their mistake, not mine or the creditor.. How can they screw up so bad?
To top it off, all the merged items were current accounts. There were ten of them. When they deleted them, they added back six of the accounts but show them as paid in full.

I disputed again, saying you just deleted this because I proved it was not mine. They took a full 30 days to investigate before deleting.

Since these six accounts are all positive tradelines, I decided to dispute one a month so that I can get a free score and free credit report each month. I am trying to monitor my report on the cheap.

Forgot to add at the same time I disputed a furniture account I have had for 3 years that had a 30 day late on the day after the account was opened and they deleted the tradeline.

I had an orchard bank account I closed last month but it reported as FCBA dispute resolved consumer disagrees (I had no disputes with account I just closed it) that I disputed also and they deleted the tradeline.

They are on the report dated 9/28 but when I checked worthknowing yesterday they were both gone.

Ok, Donna, so now that I'm all woke up, it appears to me that the major problem is the B/k.
What you should have done was to pull the b/k case for the number they listed which was wrong an not yours and send that case to them instead of yours and demanded they take the bankruptcy off your records since it wasn't yours.

Humorously speaking, you tried to teach them how smart you are and how dumb they are. One should never do that. Ends up about like mud-wrestling with a pig. All you get is muddy and the pig loves it.

Donna, Bill is right, be glad they didn't change the dockett number. Wait a little while, and then get the info for the dockett number they have listed on your report. Send them that one, do not send them your own bk information, ever. If you had gotten someone who was on the ball, you would have just verified their information for them.

Never ever volunteer information about yourself without checking to see if it will hurt you.

I'd say she should wait with that until about the 1st of December when they are busy and short handed and then pull it on them. She should be all ready to go with the info by the first which means she should pull the other person's b/k file about the day after thanksgiving and get ready to go with it. Then mail it to the CRA the 1st or the 2nd, not later than the 5th of December. That ought to hit them just about right.

We can pull it for her through pacer

    Yes, I did too.
It sure isn't as cheap as they would like you to believe, however.
It's 7 cents a page that you look at, not what you download, So searching costs just like getting what you are after.

Oh wow! I wonder what hapened to my PACER password? I will have to contact them and tell them I never got it.

Sometimes my mailman delivers the mail to the wrong house, but the neighbors usually bring it over. hmmmm.

    Bill,

    You CRACK me up!!

    Loved the Piggy thing!

(Now going to go check what docket # they have listed for me! I didn't even pay attention to that. I just looked at the chapter and the court.)

Maybe the person who got your dispute does not read very well. Send it again, and use a yellow highlighter to mark the different name and the dockett number on your document from the court, and the docket number and your name on an old copy of your credit report, LOL. And write a nice letter, saying "perhaps this is too complicated, but this dockett number belongs to someone else." Highlight "new information" and tell them it isn't new (maybe use a fat red crayon?). Then tell them they are being negligent and disregarding your dispute information, and the law says they have to accept documentation that you provide.

Then tell them please get that inaccurate information off your credit report or suffer the consequences.

You know, just pretend you are a lawyer and this is someone else's report, LOL.
