I just got my TU report last night. (And am sending my first dispute letter today. Go me!)

One of the accounts on the report has "The following item is suppressed pending credit grantor update" above it.

What in the heck do that mean?

It probably means you called the creditor up and complained to them directly about the issue before getting a copy of your credit report. They probably flagged the account in their system as "in dispute" and the system will update whatever their decision is on the matter when they report next month. Until then, it doesn't report the full tradeline.
