Trans Union Report???

    I requested my credit file from trans union last week , I just received my credit file in the mail but it was sent from the local credit angency here in town, I am totally confused here, does trans union do that with your local credit agency??

    Many small local "credit bureaus" are semi-independant affiliates of one of the "big three," and re-sell/distribute the reports to creditors, landlords, etc.

    The bureaus usually send out the consumer disclosure copies directly. Although in some areas (Texas?) Equifax apparantly uses CSC (which is a separate company that re-sells Equifax reports) for the consumer disclosures.

    I don't think I've heard of Trans Union using a local agency for this before.

    my Trans Union reports always come from a local agency.
