Hey everyone, just got my results from my disputed Credit Report in the mail, they Deleted all 5 accounts I disputed, they where not mine, I disputed as "not mine" "belong to SR".

I did notice that now it say I have been in their file since 2001??? why, my first report said 1996. Is this bad??? How can they back-date it? or leave it as it is?

And it says no employment data on file. They deleted this also why?? I never disputed my employment. How can I get this back? dispute online and make them add it back?

My new Score from Trans Union is: 737 woooopii

First it was: 553 eeww with all the baddies.

hmm, same thing happened to me kinda. I had all my accts deleted but 2. says my acct is just over 6 months old. I asked TU if it was a split file. they say no. not sure what else it could be, but Im not popping the champagne cork just yet.... this seems to happen to an awful lot of TU reports Ive noticed.

Make a copy and HIGHLIGHT the "EMPLOYMENT" and say please
    up-date employment to XYZ COMPANY.

Also ask them to fix the "IN FILE" date to where it was (1996)...

Should I call the 1-800 and ask to update the date to 1997???

I prefer to do the Employment part online, since I can spell it correctly, before it was spell wrong.

Can this be a split file??

The only real way to tell, and this is not definitive by any means... and also can cause damage to your score to a lessor degree. But if you happen to have the ability to have a lender, realtor or someone else who subscribes to TU, have them pull it. if a lender is pulling it just as clean. and are pulling it clean Consistently, then maybe you lucked out. I thought about doing this myself. But by all means dont go out and start raking up hard inquiries to test a theory. Once or twice to see maybe.. even if you can find someone to do it. If there is a collection agency in your area they will also run your file for you (provided they subscribe to TU.). This may be less harmful perhaps as far as the inquirey goes. Its a catch 22. if you go about thouroughly trying to test the theory you could amass a dozen inquiries. But as Ive found out, TU customer service reps arent too helpful. I asked twice if mine was a split file and they said nope. Assuming they could tell or even checked is a big question. I believe if they obviously look hard enough they can tell if its split. They scanned my SSn and only allegedly came up with the one file. Maybe we lucked out. maybe not.

How many items do you guys recommend disputing w/ TU at one time?

I personally didn't dispute anything with TU, 95% of my negs and a ouple good trades, though they were closed, just vanished. I called TU and asked the rep. they state that no split file exists. I know the other data is lurking about somewhere since the other two CRAs have it rightm unfortunately. I am disputing trades on those and I have chosen to go no more than 2-4 disputed items per letter. This theory may help since it approaches things subtlely. Others claim some success with throwing 10-15 in one letter and letting it ride, but it would seem to me that more times than not the rep handling it will most likely think your just bombing them with frivilous disputes and not do their job and let you try to get your deletions directly through the CA. So I will try 2-4 per letter and maybe shoot out 8 negs total per CRA to start.
I am including an old capital one chargeoff, so I am going to follow that one up immediately with a validation request. I understand that they simply auto-verify for the CRA anyway, so not much would be gained leaving that particular trade solely to the CRAs verification process.

    Oh yeah, check this out...

My last round of disputes ended up with 1 ca verifying. They changed my entire name and address info (never lived at this address) I called them because I couldnt pull my report because the id wasnt matching. They fixed everything and changed it back. Now my file date says 2/2003, even though it is 3 years old. Also, ALL my inqs and my 94 bk are gone. Called to see if file split...nope.

Dont know what happened, but Im sure THSOE will be back.

As far as how many items to disp at once, I disputed 14 things first itme and got 11 deletions. Second ime I disputed 6 things and got 3 deletions. A couple ahd dropped in between, so now Im down to 3 derogs from 22.

wow! impressive,. Did any of them reappear since i presume you got them deleted by simply disputing with CRAs? i have heard that can be a drawback. you think somethings gone and then the wise ass ca finally rereports it back on. did you avoid that?

to be honest, I dont know what in the world happened. They were just GONE. I printed up the report incase they stick em back on. Even called them to make sure file didnt split. I am pretty much expecting them to put em back, but this happened in early feb. I've been checking daily and nothing is back...yet. Not getting my hopes up, though.
