I have 1 FCNB 30 day late that is hanging on to my TU like glue. I got to thinking today about a way for force TU into a deletion. 1 - Mark the 30 day late in dipsute, and have them go ahead and verify it (if they dont delete). 2 - I also diputed some AU accounts that are now hurting me (high balances) as I am no longer AU. 3 - Pull a credit report in a week from TU to show that nothing is marked in dispute. Once I get the results back, send them an ITS letter for violations of the FCRA for not marking in dispute (I would have 5 counts) and negotiate a deletion of the 30 day late in leiu of going to court and getting money. If not, I would have a pretty good case for $3000 in small claims. Opinions?
hee hee...whatever works, lol. I thought of either trying this OR disputing the credit limit...they always delete my GOOD tl's when I do this...I guess if they didnt delete this one (dont care if it is deleted) when I did this, it may be grounds for something...not sure WHAT, but...like I said, whatever works. Right now, I cant get tu to take a bk notation of of an account...I havent filed, but soehow, they still verify. I DO beleive I made mention that they are not marking this in dispute in my demand letter. of course, they responded with some cacameme form letter that ignored all of the issues in my demand/its letter. We shall see... They have a week to complete the investigation. Will post results.
