Hi all, I have been disputing my Ford account for months now. Just when I think I have jumped over the wall to success, Trans Union decides they cannot read. Ford has sent and I have faxed Trans Union a notice stating that I have not been late since 8/98. I am disputing what trans union reporting the account as 60 days late in July of this year. Well, each time I call and speak to a representative, they say well yes, that should work. I fax it over and it does not work. Now, the last rep tells me the form is invalid because it does not have Ford's ID number. On my copy, it has been whited out. So now, I am going to xerox a copy and rewrite those numbers down and see what they say now. Totally crap. Mike G.
I don't know which fax number you have, but I had a similar problem with my local affiliate (Buffalo) so I called Chester PA Office and made a big stink. They gave me a fax number for them and my problem was cleared up in a matter of hours. 610-546-4605 ATTENTION: CCD/DOC Try that! KHM
If you use anything less than snail mail, you're taking your chances. Ultimately, if they don't cooperate, you should take them to court. There, you'll be glad you have the sequence of your letters and their responses. Certified mail, return receipt requested.
