FYI..... I am known to this forum by another handle that would be easy for TU to identify so I posted this one using a different handle. Thought it might be interesting to see them evading the question. Read the transcript from the bottom up: Question on Bankruptcy Discussion Thread Customer XXXXXX 07/29/2003 04:44 PM Ok, thank you for your time. It is clear you refuse to answer the question. As a result, I will be placing the transcript of this correspondence out on PlanetFeedback.com so the world can see you refusal to assist consumers. I will also be posting this transcript to various online credit repair forums for use against your organization. Again, Thank you for your time. A simple yes or no would have sufficed. Response (D. Hamm) 07/29/2003 04:33 PM If you wish to speak to a customer service representative regarding the report, call 800-916-8800. Thank you for contacting TransUnion Customer Support regarding your TransUnion credit report. We have previously provided you with the answer to your question based on the information you have given us. Regretfully, we cannot provide you with any further information regarding your TransUnion credit report and now consider this matter to be resolved. Customer XXXXX 07/29/2003 04:23 PM You do not need access to credit information to answer my question. It is a question about your company's policy, not credit information. If you cannot answer my question about your company's policy, what good is this forum? There must be someone who can tell me if your company reports such items as assets/liabilities when reporting a bankruptcy. Having access to a credit report is not required to answer the question. Response (D. Hamm) 07/29/2003 03:01 PM Because your question relates to the credit report, we recommend other options for contacting TransUnion, due to the fact that we do not have access to credit information through this e-mail venue. If you wish to speak to a customer service representative regarding the report, call 800-916-8800. Customer XXXXX 07/29/2003 01:52 PM I'm not asking about my report. I'm asking about TransUnion's policy on reporting bankruptcy information. Do you or do you not report the assets/liabilities information when reporting bankruptcies on a credit report? It is a yes or no answer that has nothing to do with my personal report. Either it is TransUnion's policy to report items such as assets/liabilites, etc or it is not. Can you please tell me? Response (C. Summers) 07/29/2003 01:31 PM Because your question relates to your personal credit report, we recommend other options for contacting TransUnion, due to the fact that we do not have access to your credit information through this e-mail venue. If you have a copy of your report and wish to speak to a customer service representative regarding the report, call 800-916-8800. If you know that you need to file a dispute, you may always do so by mail, by phone (at the above number), or online at http://www.transunion.com/personal/DisputeOnline.asp. Thank you. Customer XXXXX 07/29/2003 12:52 PM I'm not asking for an investigation. I'm asking if your company normally reports the asstes and liabilities in bankruptcy entries becasue a friend of mine says her's shows up with the right assets/liabilities. transunion@custhelp.com wrote:Response --------------------------------------------------------------- You have three ways to request an investigation of information on your TransUnion credit report. ** Before you ask us to investigate an item on your TransUnion credit report, we recommend you order your report at www.transunion.com. Discussion Thread --------------------------------------------------------------- Customer XXXXX - 07/28/2003 10:26 PM Hello, I have a Chapter 7 bankruptcy listed on my TransUnion credit report but it doesn't show any asstes or liabilites (they both show $0). I'm concerned that this looks bad because potential creditors don't see what my assets and liabilities were when I filed so they think I filed with just a little debt when actually it was alot because of an unexpected death in the family. Why are the assets and liabilities not showing up on my report. Why are they showing $0? How can I get them to show up with the right amounts? I don't have the bankruptcy stuff anymore (lost in a fire) so I'm not even sure what they should be. SHould I just write you a letter to ask you to investigate so the court can provide you the right information?
I got a headache attempting to read it backwards. You might get more folks to finish reading if you reverse the order.
