Recently Transunion verified an account I disputed. I sent a procedural request and they sent a letter stating they did not keep such information and I should contact the creditor if I wanted more information. Can they do that?

Dont know if its legal but...
They did it to me ( so did EXP.), I sent more evidence, then they send letter stating cannot accept evidence, but they will notify creditor.
Then there is a note on my accounts
"Verified as correct under the FCRA, but consumer disagrees"

That is the next few steps you can look forward to, I am stumped for now, but will let you know if someone has any ideas I should try.

They are not required to obtain true documentation; the procedural request is to provide the procedures used, and the name, address, and phone number of the data furnisher...

They essentially provide this information with the results of the investigation.
