I noticed they want your SSN, date of birth, employer, and phone number with mailed disputes.

Is it a bad idea to do this?

That information is on the credit report already, SO THEY DON'T NEED IT AGAIN...BUT you probably should put your SS# on your dispute letter.

They want to keep your file up to date, LOL. Personally, I sent all that info without being asked, but I am not hiding from any creditors. If people have CA's and creditors after them, I would definitely not include employment info and residence phone number. The rest, who cares? Even when I gave them all my info, they managed to screw it up LOL. I laugh everytime I see it.

MickeyD's hires more intelligent people!! (they probably pay them more too).
