I got correspondence today regarding my disputes, the 4 accounts being disputed addresses and a letter stating that tehy needed to verify my address... what a bunch of crap... need to verify the address you sent the report to before I disputed? GRRR. Also they sent me 2 pages regarding credit repair companies and how to file a complaint. I guess this is all pretty standard stuff, just pisses me off I need to verify the address that they already have listed on my report.
Radio- TU is by far the most incompetent! I sent a dispute (CRRR) with EVERYTHING on it, ssn#, address etc, nicely typed out. They sent it back requesting ssn#. I faxed the letter back, with a nice OPEN YOUR F*CKING EYES letter....not in so many words...lol.
Are the affiliates as bad as the main office? Because I see that from reading the posts Trans Union is by far the worst CRA out there. My mail goes to my relative's house so I am waiting to see if the results of the investigation has been received. I am dying to read that letter. I'll have to wait until later. I'll let you know what they sent to me.
I got the same thing Radio - I especially liked the part where they tried to be cute about the credit repair companies. Had something like "If you use the services of a credit repair company, you may be interested in knowing that state agencies are investigating the legality of their services." I wouldn't worry about those. I think it's standard when you dispute. When they send you the updated report, then you can use the # to start investigations on-line. It's what I did... GT
I am working on my second round with TU I did not get that letter the first time we will see what happens on the second round. I got 6 deletes the first go around.......wish me luck
