    Hello,

I have disputed a public record with TransUnion numerious time that DOES NOT BELONG to my credit.. but it's there because this person has THE SAME NAME as me. Other credit companies deleted it once I sent the dispute letter.. so I don't know why Transunion is trying to get my nerve!

My dispute letter consited of my explanation, SSN, and the notice of levy I received from the local court that shows the other guy's SSN. However, all I get from Transunion's investigation is no change.

..sigh. Is it a good idea to go to the local court, and ask them to write a letter for me because merely sending letters seem doesnt work.

Thank you for reading this.. and I hope for advices!

You will probably need to get a letter from the Clerk of the Court wherein the judgment was entered. Make sure it is a certified copy with their seal. It may also help if they're are willing to send it on your behalf if you will pay for it (the postage, copies, etc.)

You can also call Trans Union and ask to speak to someone in special handing.

Otherwise, you're going to have to sue TU under the FCRA for failing to maintain reasonable procedures to maintain the maximum accuracy of your reports. This is presuming of course that you have some damage by virtue of this and your reports are otherwise in pretty good shape. That is not to say these two elements are pre-requisites, however, most attorney's won't take a case like this absent them.

Don't you love when someone posts, gets help, and then never responds again? Seems to be happening more and more lately...frustrating.
