    Worked for me too!

    TU Consumer Score 566
    TU FICO 620

    Reasons:

The proportion of balances to credit limits on your revolving/charge accounts is too high

The length of time your accounts have been established is relatively short

There is evidence of multiple accounts with missing payments or having derogatory indicators/remarks reported. (I dispute this one, my credit report from TU shows NO late payments)

The only negative on my TU is a paid charge-off from First Premier, paid back in 98. I know the balances on my cards are high right now, I will be paying it all off soon. I know that all the credit I've gotten has been semi-recent (less than and up to a year) So score should rise with age and payment. But my CR shows no late payments....I might have to take this one up with TU. They are hiding something......time for a $5.3M lawsuit..

I especially like the part where they offer to give you your consumer report (the one that is supposedly complte) for free, or you can pay $12.95 for "the report your lender sees" that "may not contain all of the information in your credit file")

It's odd: No announcement from TransUnion, nothing on their site advertises it, and the myfico site still says they're the "only" one.

I am still afraid to see my real score until TU knocks off this hard inquiry stuff. I know at least one person here complained to them. I hope the response gets posted.

I filed an online FTC complaint against TU for the hard inquiry business. I don't know how long that takes for a response, or even if you do get a response.

Has anyone here done an FTC complaint before and know the timeline and procedures on them??

You will get a response that they received your complaint. But, they won't do anything about it unless they get an overwhelming amount of complaints for the same thing. Then they will do an investigation and proceed if warranted. Don't expect much from the ftc.

How many complaints does the FTC need in order to do something about it?

I'm off to file my complaint!!!
